Mom’s Night Out Movie Review

I literally waited to write this review so that I wouldn’t throw out to many spoiler alerts concerning this movie. I have to say this movie was well worth all of the drama involved with going to see the premier of it. My mother-in-law and I got to make another Mom’s Night Out to go see it on May 8th.

Watch this quick preview….

Okay, this preview and all the rest of the ones I’ve seen do this movie NO JUSTICE. It’s one of those movies that you need tissues to handle the tears you gain from laughing so hard you literally are glad you have a panty liner on and then to handle the tears you gain from the emotional stirrings you get because you know “you’ve been there yourself!”

Motherhood is NOT for the weak! This movie clearly shows this fact. My kids make me feel three times stronger than I know I am every day. They put me through the ringer from the time their little feet hit the floor in the morning until the time they finally pass out at night. What is bad, is my kids are gems compared to how these kids destroy this woman’s house!

This movie paints parenting has being difficult and exhausting. When you’re with your kids 24/7, it really IS! However, it’s also one of the most joyous rewarding things in the life. I miss working full time outside of the home a lot! I’ve even considered going back to work, but every time I get my feet out the door to do just that God pulls me right back into my home with my kids.

This movie reminded me that God gave me these precious kids because he trusts me to raise them. He gave me these precious kids to influence. I tend to forget that a lot. However, this movie had the ability to give me that ‘new baby feeling.’ I felt refreshed and ready to be a Mom again after watching it.

I’m eager for this movie to come out on DVD. So, when I’m having a bad day with my kids driving me totally up the wall and back, I can pop this in and be reminded that yes, I am doing this for a reason. Yes, my kids are worth it. I’ll be able to once again be reminded of the small things that they did during the day that made me smile despite all the hair pulling moments they bestowed upon me.

Men if you’re reading this… you will enjoy this movie too! I PROMISE! If you’re a father or a friend of someone who is a father, you will totally get this movie!

I got a care package from MomSelect to showcase Mom’s Night Out with some of my friends. I choose to host a giveaway for the $25.00 Restaurant.com gift card that I was given. This lovely lady won it!

We had fun discussing our kids and about the movie while our kids were taking their PASS testing. It’s great to make time to be with other mother’s!

If you had the chance to see it, what are your thoughts on it?

If you haven’t seen it, doesn’t it scream “Watch Me”?

    • I just noticed it comes out on September 2nd, 2014! I can’t wait!!! I LOVE this movie. So far, it’s my favorite movie for the year STILL! Of course, I’m itching to see The Other Woman which comes out on August 26th too. 😉
