Good Deeds- Movie Review

This movie was a great movie!! It was heart wrenching, but with a great ending. This movie reminds me of a modern day version of Pretty Woman. It has a lot of great actresses and actors in it to boot!! It did have some language in it that got under my skin, but that is really hard to avoid in many movies now.

It does make you appreciate all that you have as well!! I do wish that people who are in CEO and high positions within companies would realize that they have the power to change lives everyday. (This is a bit off topic, but I love Undercover Boss (the TV show) because at the end they do something special for the employees that deserve it.) I do have to say in my prior job my CEO was a remarkable man when I got the chance to actually see him when he would do his surprise visits. I got along well with him and totally enjoyed his visits. I honestly would have loved to have seen more of him. I always loved having upper management come see me or the owners of my stores. However, there are many companies that I worked for that I couldn’t even tell you the CEO’s name.

Recently I had the chance to interview with one company’s COO manager and he quite frankly got under my skin from start to finish. I respected him and answered his questions. However, he literally acted like I was terrible for being a SAHM since 2009. Life hasn’t been easy during those years, and quite frankly my ankle had to have healing time after the strain it went through from my prior job. I also dealt with my mom dying of cancer, giving my oldest daughter up for adoption, and also giving birth to my youngest daughter. So a lot has happened in my life over the past three years. Let’s not forget that I’ve gained my associates degree and am currently only 8 classes away from having my bachelor’s degree. I haven’t been sitting on my tail end doing nothing. I honestly didn’t want or feel comfortable going into all of those details with him because he made me feel like I was totally utterly lower than him. Granted, to him I am a peon in status, but we all have to put our pants on one leg at a time. I do have it within me to learn how to do his job if given the opportunity!!!

I guess my point is that this movie and that interview reminded me that regardless how much money you have, what your work position is, or any other status you may hold we are all still people and we all NEED each other to succeed in some form or fashion. In every management position I have ever held, I’ve NEVER taken the full credit for any success that may have happened within my units. I don’t believe it!!! I have always had a take charge type of personality, and people naturally tend to follow my lead. I’m not trying to brag, but God gave me that gift. Honestly, I also believe that he has always blessed me with the right people at the right time.

I also love the love story behind this movie as well. 🙂 This movie is a good movie to watch. 🙂 If you’ve watched, please tell me what you think??
