I do declare we are backwards. We didn’t get the chance to detail clean before Zeva made her arrival. Del tried to clean a lot, but he’s only one person and was working lots of hours too!! Then Christmas came, and he, of course, was doing most of the cooking because I still wasn’t feeling up to doing a lot of cooking. Then today, I had a spurt of energy and felt great!! I still do and it’s almost 6pm. 🙂 I haven’t had to take any medicine today, and for a medicine hater, that’s a great thing!!
We detail cleaned the house, and I love it. Of course, it won’t stay this nice for long with three kids and a puppy. Not to mention Del and I both have our little habits that add to a mess. 🙂 However, it’s nice knowing that we all pitched in and got it done. It felt so great doing it together as a family. I can’t express how nice it is to have a husband who pitches in like he does.
I attempted to make him a ham and cheese omelete. However, my pan from home doesn’t work as great as the pans at Waffle House do!! So, it didn’t turn out looking like an omelet, but he loved the gesture. Then later on, I took him a Hershey’s kiss, and hand fed it to him. And kissed him. He got curious as to why he deserved the special treatments. He deserved them and so much more because he’s been wonderful lately!! He’s been doing so much for all of us the past couple of months. Last night he told me that we’ll do whatever we can to avoid me having to return to work right away, and that was like a thousand pounds being lifted off of me.
Yes, there is a major part of me that does want to return to work, but I can’t express how much I’ve loved being home with the kids. They may make me want to pull my hair out at least once a day, but they are my kids. No one else will push them to be all they can be like I will. I expect a lot from my kids, but that’s only because I KNOW they have it in them to be everything I see in them and so much more. They are all smart little buggers (even Zeva has shown major signs of intelligence in her young age.) Jimmy is VERY book smart, and he struggles with common sense (however, there are times when I’ve struggled with common sense as well–so that’s the pot calling the kettle black.) Little Del is my drama king, but he’s also equally as smart. However, Little Del doesn’t have a high attention span at all. He also gets that from me. Zeva is just a little ham to watch and observe. I am eager to see how she grows and thrives in this world. I’m loving being able to homeschool Jimmy. Jimmy may have his bad days, but he has a lot more good days than he does bad by far!! God knows I treasure being able to see my husband whenever I have the desire to do it.
I wish I was able to find a job that allowed me to work from home and make a decent amount of income. I’m very computer orientated. I know many Microsoft programs. I do have my associates degree in accounting. I have the ability to do book keeping for businesses. I also have plenty of sales experience (I’ve earned my fair share of awards for increasing sales in almost every job I’ve had.) I also have lots of customer service experience. I’ve been trying to get ideas and figure out a way to earn money with all of these talents from home. Any suggestions?? No, I don’t want to spend money to suppposedly earn lots of money!! I want a legit job. I’m not out to get rich. If that happened then that is God’s will for my life, but I treasure my family far more than I treasure materialistic items!!
I can’t believe 2011 is almost over with already. I’m eager to see what 2012 is going to bring. However, I’m also a bit nervous about it since 2011 has been such a wonderful year for me overall. Only time will tell. There’s no sense in borrowing trouble by worrying about tomorrow, for tomorrow may not even come.
