Valentine’s Day Last Minute Crafty Gift Ideas

Valentine’s Day will be here in 4 days!! I can’t get over how quickly this year is going by!! It’s just zooming by me and I can’t seem to get a grip on anything. When it comes to holidays and gifts, I’m TERRIBLE at doing things last minute regardless the holiday or season. I know I’m NOT alone because I can’t begin to tell you how crowded stores are on the eve of any holiday. Thanks to  Oriental Trading, I was able to create these simple Valentine’s Day last minute crafty gift ideas.

Valentine’s Day is a holiday that Del and I don’t really put a lot of emphasis on because we celebrate two Anniversaries a year. However, we do like to do small little things for each other just to show the other one that they matter even on this very commercialized holiday.

Honey Do: I O U Mug

My husband is always saying, “you owe me” when he does something for me that requires him to go above and beyond. Of course, I honestly love owing him. I asked him to come up with a Mug he’d like to get if I were to give him one. He surprised me with this idea because it is nowhere close to what I would have made for him. I was trying to come up with ways to make a “Wood Workers Mug.” Yet, nothing panned out for me.

How to Make a Honey Do: I O U Mug

Supplies Needed:

Mug

Paint

Paint brush

Post It Notes

Pen

You can decorate your mason jar any way you want, but Del chooses a simple design. Then add the words Honey Do: I O U on it.

Let Her Create Her Own Flowers

I’ve shared with you my obsession with adult coloring already. Judging from the responses I’ve received from that post, it’s safe to say that there are plenty of other women who share this obsession with me. That’s why when I found out that Mind Ware, a partner for Oriental Trading, had adult coloring books too. I decided it would be a neat idea to give women the chance color their own flowers. I have seen many other adult coloring books that are filled with beautiful flowers to color. This way the woman in your life gets to create flowers she’d love to own and also enjoy the relaxation of coloring. An added hint would be to give her a frame to put her finished artwork in.

Do you think anyone you know would appreciate these Valentine’s Day last minute crafty gift ideas?

  2. That mug is really cute. If we had that in my house, it would be full to the brim and my husband would probably never look at it again. But the coloring books, I know he would enjoy. That’s awesome that you celebrate 2 anniversaries a year. That’s love right there! #ProductReviewParty

    • I am glad to know there is another coloring book fan in the midst. They are addicting and a lot of fun. My husband has one that has little notes he can cash in too, but I don’t think he’s even read them yet??
