Twister Dance Rave Details

From Press

Age: 8+; Players: 1-2; Available: Fall 2013; Approximate Retail Price: $34.99

It’s party time! The TWISTER DANCE RAVE game brings the fun with today’s hottest music, great speakers and LED lights that shine to create your very own dance floor. Girls will love learning dances and showing off their moves to songs from popular artists, or they can plug their own mp3 players into the console, turning virtually any song into a dancesong! The party never ends as players continue to learn new dances by following the lights and moving to the beat on the iconic TWISTER spots in head-to-head or freestyle play. (Requires 4 AA batteries – demo batteries included).

Our Review

It came preloaded with snippets of three different songs. Zeva being our huge music lover got excited over it right away. She quickly learned how to control the buttons on it. I couldn’t get a video of her dancing with it. Of course, she’s only 1 years old and didn’t know the that it is designed to teach them how to dance.

When the kids and I finally got the chance to set it up properly, I had to hook my phone to it (which my phone is still my camera/video taker) so that they could fully try it out with a wide variety of songs. I noticed that on the slow songs the lights move really slow from one position to the next. The kids are not moving very much at all. However, with the faster paced songs they do move a bit more, but it’s still not as fast as normal fast paced dancing is. Even my slow dancing self, is able to keep up with the moves of this game. He hasn’t stopped dancing to it since we turned it on over an hour ago now.

I don’t really see this toy teaching kids to really dance, but it is fun to watch them try different steps. To me, it’s more of a glamorous MP3 player that lights up to the beat of the music at a slower pace. Jimmy loves it though. The fact that it’s made for his soon to be 10 year old self, comes out in his passion for this product.

Zeva is just be bopping to the music too in her own beat. She loves the fancy lights on it. Delbert is like me and not overly impressed by it.

Jimmy’s Review

I  like the fact that it’s kind of an exercising thing. I like that I can play my own music on it. I like the pretty colors that display. It has the stand for my MP3 player so that I can dance without worrying about it getting tore up. It’s ultra portable too. I do wish I could install my songs onto it. I don’t really need the sticky mats that come with it. I have to wear socks to keep them from sticking to my feet.

    • Carly,
I’m glad to hear that you think it’s an awesome game. My oldest son seems to really enjoy playing with it that’s for sure.

    • My daughter is in love with My Little Pony shows too. I can’t wait until she’s older and can really enjoy playing with them. 🙂 (Of course, I’ll want to get her the Breyer set with the complete barn and all like I had growing up.)

    • I have played Life, but I don’t think I’ve ever played The Game of Life. I’m going to have to look into that one.

    • I can remember playing with Mr. Potato Head when I was growing up. His mustache always seemed to keep my attention. Glad you stopped by.

    • You can’t help but love this family classic. Have you played the electronic version? I even have the video game version of this game.

  1. t always been so cool to black people but looking back it. This is where the need for a good horse racing
systems comes in. They wanted an “improved” version of the native Kirgiz type that not only looked nicer, but could pull the heavier agricultural equipment that
the Soviets wanted on the local farms.
