The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet–My Review

I enjoy seeing all of these wonderful actresses having conversations with Amanda. I have had my toes stepped on in each show so far because they keep stressing that woman should be making their own money. Which prior to marrying Del, I fully AGREED with them 100%. There are still times when I wonder if I’m making a mistake by not bringing in my own set of income. However, I fully trust Del to provide for us and he’ll do whatever it takes to do that. He has always been more than willing to take care of me regardless what he has to do in order to do it. When I don’t trust my situation that I’m in, then by all means, I’m going to take the bull by the horns and take control and make the situation one that is worth being in.

I can see why she keeps pushing this issue because many woman lose themselves when they get married. They stop pursuing their own dreams in their life. I have to say that my career ambitions have taken a back burner a lot since I’ve gotten married. However, Del made it clear that he wants his wife to be a mother to our kids first and foremost, and to be his wife. Del was raised that a man is suppose to provide for the family and the wife is to tend to the house and kids. Yes, it’s old fashioned in so many ways, but for us it works. There are times that I miss my independence and working like crazy!!! (There’s actually a lot of times to be honest, but would I trade my family for it, NO. However, if a solid career opportunity did present itself to me, then I know Del would fully support my decision to take advantage of it!!!)

I also like the fact that they are stressing that woman should not be worried about getting married or having a partner in life in order to be happy. I was actually extremely happy single. I had the freedom to do what I wanted, when I wanted, and I had time to learn who I was and what I wanted in life. I also found out that I was truly strong enough to stand on my own two feet. I did have wonderful support when I needed it.

This show is worth watching. It’s interesting and in many ways it’s inspiration for many woman. Even for me, it does make me think and play the debating game within myself about my own life.

Have you watched it yet?? If so, what is your opinion??
