While I was shopping for clothes for my kids, I realized just how much the fashion trends have changed. I noticed while going to pick up my niece and nephew up from school that the fashion world has made some big changes. I noticed that many teenagers are wearing what looks to be comfortable clothes.
I mentioned how much I love my yoga pants the other day, but I’ve noticed that teenagers love their patterned leggings. I think they are rather adorable provided the girl wearing them is also wearing a long shirt too. I personally love that leggings can go with either a long shirt or even a nice dress. If the teenager is working out, they are comfortable for working out in as well. Don’t get me started on how cute they look with a pair of nice boots. I wish patterned leggings would have been as popular when I was growing up.
If you know me at all then you know how much I love maxi dresses and skirts! I wear a LOT of them, and have even had Momma make me a few through the years. Seeing the nice collection of maxi skirts on rue21’s website gave me some ideas of what to give my niece to help her prepare for the upcoming school year. The mint/pint Geo Roman Maxi Skirt in this picture is only $14.99 which isn’t too bad of a price for a skirt this beautiful.
Another fashion favorite are harmen pants. I personally didn’t even know the name of these pants, but I can see where the love of them comes from. These pants look really comfortable. I believe they would certainly allow my niece to move around comfortably throughout her PE classes. Plus she could be fashionable in the process.
I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t share with you my favorite item I found on rue21’s website while I was suffering for ideas for my niece (since she shares my birthday today with me.) I fell in love with this shirt and legging combination.
This is a bold statement, but one well worth sharing with the world. I love how this shirt is made and the details on the pants are darn right adorable.
