Sunday Afternoon Ride

Nothing beats riding down the dirt roads for hours enjoying the great outdoors and listening to the kids whopping and hollering in delight. My father-in-law and the boys and I went for a nice long ride on the four wheelers today. It was so-o-o-o-o much fun. I can’t wait until the day comes when I own my own, but all in due time. When it’s suppose to happen it will. In the meantime, I’ll take pleasure in borrowing the one I’m using when I can. The boys LOVE it as much as I do. It’s so nice being able to see nature at it’s finest. Farmers are in various stages with their fields, some are letting them rest, some are already being plowed and then you come across some that have fresh beautiful grass growing for as far as the eye can see. Since the sun is going down (even though it’s not quiet as far down as it was even a couple weeks ago), it’s still changing the way we see the fields and trees. All of nature is wonderful to see at different times of the day.

We even saw a cloud that was in the shape of a big heart, but unfortunately, I didn’t think to take my camera with me. I just smiled from ear to ear because my heart was exploding with love. I had love for the great outdoors that God was blessing me with the chance to enjoy. My heart was over flowing with joy at being able to enjoy those moments with my boys. They both got to do a bit of driving (with us in control.) We made some pit stops along the way at the various rivers and let them enjoy watching the water flow and the little water falls. Plus at certain points in the river there was glistening points to it so it looked like glass.

I do declare I will never cease to be amazed by the wonder of nature. It just takes me back to know that God created it all for our enjoyment and left it to us to care for. It breaks my heart that there is less and less woods to enjoy. I hope that when my kids have kids of their own that they will be able to show them the great outdoors including the woods.

We had some neighbors grant us permission to ride the four wheelers around their fields. I’m hoping to gain some permission from some more before it’s all said and done. I feel pretty confident that I should be able to do it since I have permission to walk on them.

Well, I just had to share the enjoyment.
