Shatterproof Glass Water Bottle Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. That in no way shaped my opinion about this product.

I am a HUGE water drinker. I have always been an Aquafina lover, and we normally spend anywhere from $15-25.00 a month on water for me to drink every month. Since we’re having to budget our spending habits quite a bit more due to changes in our life, I’m eagerly looking for all the corners I can cut costs each month.

Now between our new LG refrigerator (that we were forced to get due to our last one dying) and the Glasstic Shatterproof Glass Water Bottle I don’t have to spend that excess amount of money on Aquafina water anymore. I can instead take water from my refrigerator with its filtration system on it, and have great tasting water to drink on the go.

Since they claimed it was shatterproof, we had to test that theory out since we do have a two year old who loves to be Mommy’s little helper and carry things that we are taking with us. The BPA, toxin, and metal free Glass Water Bottle 16 oz.  is sturdy enough to handle having kids hands handle it. If in their innocence they drop it on the floor a few times, it doesn’t break easily. (I still don’t recommend using it as a toy and letting kids use is as such, but it does withstand some normal wear and tear of some bumps on the floor.) However, should the glass portion of the water bottle break at any point, I do have the option of buying the replacement part from the company for $7.99.

The lid keeps the liquid in the container in a secure manner. It doesn’t leak out between the two layers either. However, should some spill, it is easy to take the parts apart and clean between them. I do have to use a bottle brush to clean the glass portion of the bottle. However, since I had some from Zeva’s younger years it wasn’t a big deal for me. The company also states that if you put it in the top part of your dishwasher it will come clean with ease too. It’s also very drink friendly too with its pour style lid.

Another feature that I found I rather liked was the fact that it didn’t get wet on the outside of the container with condensation. So, it made it easier to carry around without worrying about it leaking all over the place. Or even worse making my hands wet from getting something to drink while working on projects like other water bottles do.

Overall this is a nice water bottle worth getting. The one drawback that caught my attention was the price of this water bottle. Even on Amazon with my Prime membership discount, it’s still a whopping $17.50 for ONE bottle. I realize that it’s a unique concept (well, at least unique to me) and it can be costly to create. However, I’m personally not going to rush out to spend $20.00 on this bottle for my family. I think a better price point for this bottle would be closer to $10.50 from a consumer’s point of view. Now, the company may have greater expenses in making this than what I’m seeing and that could be why there is such a high price tag on placed on this item. Either way, even if I do like this product, I wouldn’t say that I could recommend paying that much for it.

Now, if money is not an issue for you, and you want a stylish product that has many wonderful features to it… then yes, go get a whole set of these for your family. You can even get them in various different colors so each family member has one of their own.

You can gain more information on Glasstic’s website. You can also connect with them on Facebook and Twitter . You can also purchase it on Amazonir?t=tidbitofexp 20&l=as2&o=1&a=B00EIK4WJS.
