My Personal Review

This is such a remarkable book filled with tons of suggestions on how to deal with the in-laws. I personally have a good relationship with my mother-in-law. We may have our moments when we get on each other’s nerves like crazy, but at the end of the day we love each other very much! I don’t like her controlling mannerism, but she is a very protective mother bear.

I do my best to overlook her controlling mannerism as much as possible. If it is something that I’m strongly against I do turn to my husband to fix the issue. He does. Now according to the all resources, I should be handling the issue directly, but my in-laws all live less than 200 feet away. I don’t want to rock the boat to much by saying or handling the situation wrong. I know that I definitely would. I also know that I’m a very emotional person and have a tendency to overreact on many accounts.

So, I turn to him to get his feedback on how to handle the situation, and to honestly see if I’m in the wrong. He is quick to tell me if I am. He also makes suggestions and tells me how to deal with it.

I loved this book because it also gave some practical tips too. It also showed the value of a solid relationship with the in-laws. It is also religion based too, and I love that aspect of it. I recommend it for anyone. Even if you do have a solid relationship with your in-laws you can still appreciate this book.

Do you have a good relationship with you in-laws?

I'm Crystal. I'm married to Dale, and mother to Johnny. Some might say that my life is perfect because I get to do all the cliché wife things like cooking, cleaning, and decorating - but there's more! I also have many hobbies including needlework (crochet), sewing, and reading. My son's education is important, so we homeschool him together.

  1. I have an okay relationship with my mother in law. I do not care for my father in law-he is not a nice man!
