Nora Roberts: Dance Upon The Air Book Review

Just because I do so many book reviews for others, I feel you should know up front that [easyazon_link identifier=”042527814X” locale=”US” tag=”tidbitofexp-20″]Dance Upon the Air: Three Sisters Island Trilogy #1[/easyazon_link] is one I rented from my library because I am a very loyal Nora Roberts fan! It’s been a long time since I’ve been to the library to get books for my own personal pleasure that I literally came home with a HUGE stack of books. I’ve been devouring them as much as time allows. When I got this book, I expected my library to have the second book in this series, but they didn’t. That was a major disappointment after I got the chance to read this first book of the Three Sisters Island series.

The [easyazon_link identifier=”042527814X” locale=”US” tag=”tidbitofexp-20″]Dance Upon the Air: Three Sisters Island Trilogy #1[/easyazon_link] was about a woman who did what was necessary to leave an abusive husband. She literally fled by changing her identity and moving clear across the country to avoid him. She ended up on the Three Sisters Island where there is a legend of three sisters having powers that were passed down to future generations. The runaway woman happens to be one of the girls who completes the circle.

Ironically, she meets one of the other women from the magical circle and starts working for her as a chef. Cooking is her true passion and she wasn’t able to live out her passion while living with her abusive husband. Now she’s free of him and able to return to the roots of who she is.

She is finally free to live out her desires. She meets a strong steady man whom she could easily love. The big question is, though, is she really free of her abusive husband and free to love another completely. Will she be able to continue to be free and fulfill her life’s passion as a chef and caterer?

[easyazon_link identifier=”042527814X” locale=”US” tag=”tidbitofexp-20″]Dance Upon The Air[/easyazon_link] is a book that will make you feel like you’re on the small island with all of these characters encouraging Nell to pursue her dreams and gain the strength to stay away from her abusive husband. I read it from cover to cover in less than a few days, and it was so great to escape reality.

Don’t leave yourself hanging like I did, and invest in getting the entire series to read now by clicking [easyazon_link identifier=”B001CAEOB8″ locale=”US” tag=”tidbitofexp-20″]HERE![/easyazon_link]

Domestic Abuse Awareness:

This book does address domestic abuse and how strong of a hold it can have on a woman. Outsiders have no clue just how hard it is to leave an abusive situation. You literally feel like you have no worth and aren’t able to leave. In many cases, the abusers keep them trapped in such a way that they can’t freely leave without completely putting trust in society to help them get back on their feet. If they leave nine times out of ten they have NOTHING when they have to walk away. It’s a dark lonely world to live through that situation.

If you or someone you know is living in a domestic abusive situation please get help by calling the 1-800-799-SAFE. There is light at the end of the dark hole!

I'm Crystal. I'm married to Dale, and mother to Johnny. Some might say that my life is perfect because I get to do all the cliché wife things like cooking, cleaning, and decorating - but there's more! I also have many hobbies including needlework (crochet), sewing, and reading. My son's education is important, so we homeschool him together.

    • You need to take some time to read woman. Reading is good for the soul. Nora Roberts has some really good books out. I want to play catch with her books myself.
