Men, Did You Gain the "Daddy" Look???

Del

My wife came home from her adopted Mom’s house the other day and proceeded to tell me that it was more than okay that I had gained well over 50 pounds since we had gotten married. The reason why was because I now had the “Daddy Look” per her adopted mother. Of course, I looked at her like she was crazy. I weighed 165 lbs for SEVENTEEN (17) years. Since we had Delbert, I started to gain a little bit of weight. However, when she got pregnant with Zeva, I GAINED 50 lbs and SHE LOST OVER 50 lbs.  Now I weigh 210-220 lbs!!!

My wife claims I look better now than I did when we dated in the past. Of course, I was skin and bones then. I felt a lot healthier then, but I even have to admit I was to skinny. I joke and say I WORKED to gain my weight!! Which, I did struggle to try and gain weight for years, but NEVER could do it. Does it take becoming a Daddy and a Husband to gain weight?? I haven’t let myself go because I still work just as hard as I always have. I still am physically active throughout a day.

Did you/your husband gain the “Daddy Look”? I never knew that look existed until I was advised that. Did you??

I’ll proudly wear my “Daddy Look” because I love my family!!! It’s amazing the things we learn as we grow up.

I'm Crystal. I'm married to Dale, and mother to Johnny. Some might say that my life is perfect because I get to do all the cliché wife things like cooking, cleaning, and decorating - but there's more! I also have many hobbies including needlework (crochet), sewing, and reading. My son's education is important, so we homeschool him together.
