Let’s Win This War

My favorite movie of the year has definitely been War Room!! It’s available on DVD TODAY!! I couldn’t be happier. I have ordered mine to OWN. Plus, I have a copy of it coming from Netflix to hold me over until my personal one comes in the mail. Since watching War Room in our prescreening it’s a movie that hasn’t left my mind.

Not only did I love the movie, but I also have devoured the books that are created in relation to this movie. There’s nothing like curling up with a hot cup of  Kaufman’s apple cider tea and reading a good book. Especially when that book brings me closer to God! Right now is a very trying time in our home! I’m leaning on my faith to get me through it.

There are several books that go with [easyazon_link identifier=”B014LIIYPY” locale=”US” tag=”tidbitofexp-20″]War Room[/easyazon_link] movie.

Let’s Win This War Together

I won’t go into the full details of what all is going on right now, but I’m knee deep into a lot of praying right now. I’ve even recruited a close friend to help with praying on the topics that are near and dear on my mind right now. I believe strongly in the power of prayer and I believe that’s why this movie moves me as much as it does. I’ve seen and physically felt what prayer can accomplish in my lifetime more than once.

Our society is a crazy mess all around us. We are living in trying times for sure. My heart breaks knowing that we’re not showing as much love to each other as we should. We need to spend more time loving and praying for each other. If you want to see change you have to be that change!

We need to start in our own homes. I know I need to pray for changes to be made within myself first and foremost. I also need to pray for our family and extend even beyond that. Both [easyazon_link identifier=”1433688670″ locale=”US” tag=”tidbitofexp-20″]FerVent[/easyazon_link] and [easyazon_link identifier=”1433688662″ locale=”US” tag=”tidbitofexp-20″]The Battle Plan for Prayer[/easyazon_link] are wonderful books to help a person to know how to pray. They will help you build that lasting close knit relationship with our heavenly father. They are filled with encouragement and words of love.

Please watch [easyazon_link identifier=”B014LIIYPY” locale=”US” tag=”tidbitofexp-20″]War Room[/easyazon_link]. Then dive into one of these above books.

Do you believe in the power of prayer?

Disclosure: I got to see this movie in a prescreening. I also got to review FerVent from B&H Publishing in exchange for an honest review. ALL thoughts and opinions ARE my own.

  1. Crystal, it was one of my favorite movies, too. I’m going to have to check out at least one or two of your book recommendations. I’m visiting from Making Your Home Sing Mondays. Hope you have a blessed New Year!

  2. I’m sorry you are going through such a tough time right now, Crystal, but you are right that those tough times really drive us to our knees! I will be praying for you as the Lord brings you to mind.

I haven’t gotten to watch this movie yet here in Malaysia, but I’m hoping maybe my mom can bring it when she comes next month.

Thanks so much for being a part of Booknificent Thursday’s weekly link-up party! Happy New Year! Tina

  3. Absolutely believe in prayer. Love that you are taking your ‘issues’ on your knees. Thanks for the helpful suggestions. We just watched War Room this Christmas break and I loved it. (Loved the older woman, can’t think of her name…I want to live next to her.) I will check out fervent. I feel really good about my prayer time, but always looking for new ideas. Thanks for sharing at Let’s Get Real.
