Fresh-Brewed Life by Nicole Johnson

[easyazon_link identifier=”1400203155″ locale=”US” tag=”tidbitofexp-20″]Fresh-Brewed Life: A Stirring Invitation to Wake Up Your Soul, Revised & Updated Edition[/easyazon_link] is a book about how a woman compares our relationship with God to a relationship that some has to coffee. She clearly states that coffee has a way of bringing people together. “Coffee brings warmth and comfort to my life.” She uses coffee and how it has made an impact in her life to show that God also has made a huge impact on her life and how God can change our lives too if we let him in.

Since I am not a huge fan of coffee, it was rather interesting to read her descriptions of how coffee makes a difference in her life as well as others. However, I loved her way of making one look at their relationship with God by using the coffee as a baseline for discussion. The author did a good job of making one look at their lives and how they can either grow closer to God or enhance the bond that they already have with him. The author did make me think a lot about my life and relationship with God. I can’t say that the author made me want to pick constantly up reading this book every chance I got, but she kept my attention enough to make me finish reading the book. I would recommend this book more for someone who wanted to learn about how to gain a closer relationship with God.

I'm Crystal. I'm married to Dale, and mother to Johnny. Some might say that my life is perfect because I get to do all the cliché wife things like cooking, cleaning, and decorating - but there's more! I also have many hobbies including needlework (crochet), sewing, and reading. My son's education is important, so we homeschool him together.
