Encourage a Love of Reading with This

I was given the Sparkup Reader in exchange for a honest blog review. That in no way shaped my opinion of this product.

I have loved reading ever since I was in the second grade after having a summer filled with nothing but reading tutorship. Learning how to read was the hardest skill I could have ever learned in my life. To this day, I still struggle with teaching my kids to read. For that reason, I am always on the hunt for ways to make teaching my children how to read easier. The Sparkup Reader has made life a lot easier for sure.

The Sparkup Reader is a device that reads books to the kids for me. I don’t have to do it repeatedly. If you’ve ever read a LONG book regularly, you can see just how that feature alone is beneficial. Now I can record me reading a book and send them to their well-loved book and the Sparkup Reader to enjoy their books on their own.

The Sparkup Reader records everyone’s voice with ease. You just have to connect it to the back of the book you want to record provided the text is wider than 7”. It is recommended that the books be primarily children’s picture books with limited wording. I have found that it has worked with one of my kid’s favorite books “Blueberry Bubblegum” which has a lot of text in it. You can see how easy it is to use by watching this short video.

I have found this system to be userfriendly. It provides you with directions on how to record it. You can connect it to your computer and store any recordings you may have made. The Sparkup Reader can store up to 50 books or 250 minutes worth of reading. That’s plenty to keep your kids entertained.

You can buy this product by visiting the Sparkup website for $59.99. You can also connect with Sparkup on Facebook, Google +, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and YouTube.

Do you think this would help encourage your kids to read more?

I'm Crystal. I'm married to Dale, and mother to Johnny. Some might say that my life is perfect because I get to do all the cliché wife things like cooking, cleaning, and decorating - but there's more! I also have many hobbies including needlework (crochet), sewing, and reading. My son's education is important, so we homeschool him together.
