Does Blogging Bring Out My Best or Worst Self?

This is a great question that I honestly have no clue what the real answer should be. Guessing from the fact that my family won’t even let me consider stopping, I’d say it’s safe to say it brings out the best in me.

I would definitely say that prior to blogging I have no clue how I’d spend my excess time that I had on my hands. I do believe I would have drove my family totally utterly nuts if I was ‘just the stay-at-home mom.’ I love feeling like I’m contributing something to the family’s finances. (It also gives me the sense of being able to become independent should I ever have to do that again.)

Blogging has also opened up doors for us that otherwise would not have been there. We’ve gotten to try out many wonderful products and see things that we wouldn’t have even known existed without the companies presenting them to us. The relationships I’ve gained through blogging have been absolutely wonderful as well.

I feel like some of my closest friends have become a part of my life due to blogging. I love learning from them. I love how open and honest they are about their lives, their experiences, and even their product reviews that they give us.

Blogging is a great hobby to have. It can lead to a very promising career if you do things correctly. (Which there are plenty of things that I’m not doing correctly.) If you really get into blogging evidently, you end up taking really hard look at yourself and your life. You realize those traits about yourself are what is really going to set your blog apart from anyone else’s. Blogging has a way of reminding me who I really want to be as a person too.

I'm Crystal. I'm married to Dale, and mother to Johnny. Some might say that my life is perfect because I get to do all the cliché wife things like cooking, cleaning, and decorating - but there's more! I also have many hobbies including needlework (crochet), sewing, and reading. My son's education is important, so we homeschool him together.
