This Bloggers Nightmare

We’ve talked about being capped on our Internet data for quite some time now in several posts. Del has wanted me to complain about it as much as loudly as I can on here and across the Internet. We live in the rural part of Orangeburg, SC, and as a result we have not been able to get Time Warner Cable TV and Internet or ATT UVerse TV and Internet, or any other UNLIMITED Internet package that is popular and well loved just on the other side of town. Due to our data limitations, Del has to literally stay up until MIDNIGHT to even think about playing his video games. During the day, I burn up our 25 GBS of data allowance every month watching videos to help me grow as a blogger. Or for my conferences here lately. Well, this month we have used up every single morsel of data allotted to us until the 27th. We literally had to buy more GBs, but that doesn’t give me the freedom to really “WORK” like I need.

This is how I feel my world has become. It’s put on hold until the 27th because unless I want to stay up until MIDNIGHT to do work of any kind, my hands are pretty much tied from doing real blogging work. For you fellow bloggers, you know exactly what I mean when I say this. If your not a blogger, it’s basically putting me with my hands tied behind my back and watching the world pass me by and all of the ground work I’ve done go down the tubes in a hand basket.

We have found a company that swears they can provide us service and give us UNLIMITED data usage and also give us the speed of service we need. We are hoping to have the funds together come Thursday to order the service for here. We are given a 10 day trial period, and if we don’t like it we can return all the equipment for a full refund. So, I’m praying hard that this new service works for us. If it does, I promise you that I’ll be able to give you the blogging that you were use to having from me and so much more!

I have many things lined up and just have to have the means by which to put them into action! This whole Internet ordeal is putting a huge kink in my plans. There is so much I want to share with you, and even have available for you to enjoy. I hope that you’ll stick with me through this dull period on this blog.

I will figure out a way to make this work one way or another. Even if I have to adjust my schedule to make it happen. I’ve never been a quitter on something that I’m truly passionate about. This blog has become a major passion of mine. So far, the doors only continue to open with it. Many new doors are popping open on a daily bases. I feel utterly blessed, and I believe with every ounce of my being God is going to help me on this journey.

Do you live in a similar situation?

  1. Unfortunately no. Luckily we live in an area with no cap, and no throttling after a certain amount of usage. You think they would provide good support with all of that competition, wouldn’t you…

    • Yes, I would, and it would be greatly appreciated in my life. 🙂 I just hope that everything goes well and we can get things ordered for this new Internet on Thursday that I hope works. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. I so hope it worked out for y’all! No reliable and/or affordable Internet service is a blogger ‘s nightmare!
