Thanksgiving Movie Suggestions Found On Netflix

I wanted to be sure to mention some Thanksgiving movies this year because all over Hallmark and many other television channels there are Christmas movies galore on TV. I haven’t seen hardly any mention of Thanksgiving movies to watch. I did a search on Netflix for Thanksgiving movies worth checking out.

Thanksgiving Movies

For the Adults

The first one that is worth watching for sure is a 2008 Hallmark movie called  An Old Fashioned Thanksgivingir?t=tidbitofexp 20&l=as2&o=1&a=B002GYHIYE. This movie is about a struggling widow who is trying to support three kids and can’t even afford a Thanksgiving turkey. They end up getting an expected visitor who helps change their lives.

Are you looking for a way to change up your Thanksgiving dinner? Then be sure to check out The Martha Stewart Holiday Collection – Martha’s Classic Thanksgivingir?t=tidbitofexp 20&l=as2&o=1&a=B000AOEPMA and/or Jacques Pepin’s Thanksgiving Celebrationir?t=tidbitofexp 20&l=as2&o=1&a=B0006ZIECK. Between these two movies you are sure to find a way to make your Thanksgiving dinner a memorable one.

While we’re talking about cooking I suggest if you’re looking for a bit of comedy, then I’m sure you’ll find it watching What’s Cooking?ir?t=tidbitofexp 20&l=as2&o=1&a=B000092T3G This is a multicultural comedy-drama about four women with different cultures trying to prepare for a Thanksgiving dinner.

For the Kids and Family

I can remember growing up watching the Care Bears. I totally enjoy watching the Care Bears: Give Thanksir?t=tidbitofexp 20&l=as2&o=1&a=B001DZOCWI in 2008 with my kids even though they thought I was crazy for wanting to watch it. It’s primarily for little girls, but it’s a big hit still. I can’t wait until Zeva is a bit older to watch the entire Care Bears series with her.

Free Birdsir?t=tidbitofexp 20&l=as2&o=1&a=B00GRZPQCO is such a fun movie to watch with the family because it’s a great family comedy. It’s all about trying to take turkey off the Thanksgiving menu.

No, true Thanksgiving holiday season is complete without watching the famous classic A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving ir?t=tidbitofexp 20&l=as2&o=1&a=B001CO42IO movie. (I had figured that Netflix would have had this one available for instant play, but it sadly still isn’t.)

Those are my Thanksgiving Netflix movie suggestions for you.

  1. I have not seen some of these and often tune in to Hallmark especially this time of year. I have a lot of special memories of Care Bear movies and Peanuts too.

  2. Love all of these movies! I have not seen the Care Bears one, but my boys are older, so maybe that is why. My favorite for sure is a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving! Brings back so many wonderful holiday memories. Thanks so much for sharing all of these. We are huge netflix fans, so we will be checking them out again.
