Raising God’s Girl Book Review

When I was given the chance to review [easyazon_link identifier=”0996271694″ locale=”US” tag=”tidbitofexp-20″]Raising God’s Girl[/easyazon_link]through Book Crush, I was delighted because I wasn’t raised in a Christian home. I’m a bit lost on how to properly raise my kids in a Christian home the right way. I’ll grant you that the ultimate guide is the Bible, but sometimes even the Bible is a bit more complex and confusing to me. I like reading Christian books that provide me a simpler way to understand my role as a wife and a mother.

Since Zeva was definitely going to be my last child, I believe I spoiled her far more than I should have when she was a baby until she turned 4. I warned her from the time she was 3 that when she turned 4 that I was going to have to be stricter with her. I had to give us both that time to adjust to the fact that I wasn’t going to be able to be the nice one her life all the time. I was going to have to stop being the LAZY PARENT for her.

[easyazon_link identifier=”0996271694″ locale=”US” tag=”tidbitofexp-20″]Raising God’s Girl[/easyazon_link] is a book that “empowers parents to raise daughters with conviction, confidence, and courage.” I must say this book lives up to their tagline. I was prepared and ready to tackle raising Zeva’s God’s way after reading it. Zeva is still a bit of a spoiled brat at times, but she’s come a LONG way from where she was when she first turned 4.

My favorite aspect of this book is the fact that it provides conversational examples of some top issues that parents face. It gives examples on HOW to properly handle it better.

Raising God’s Girl is a solid guide to help parents understand their roles in raising their kids to be Christian examples in our society. This book covers all walks of life for raising up girls. I found that to be a blessing!

Have you read this book? What are your thoughts on it?

I'm Crystal. I'm married to Dale, and mother to Johnny. Some might say that my life is perfect because I get to do all the cliché wife things like cooking, cleaning, and decorating - but there's more! I also have many hobbies including needlework (crochet), sewing, and reading. My son's education is important, so we homeschool him together.
