McFarland USA DVD Review

I jumped at the chance to review this movie due to the fact that I’m a fan of Kevin Costner.  I enjoy watching his inspirational movies quite a bit. [easyazon_link identifier=”B00UI5CU6Y” locale=”US” tag=”tidbitofexp-20″]McFarland[/easyazon_link]is about an underdog track team that needs his inspirational coaching skills.

This movie follows novice runners as they get trained by Coach Jim White (Kevin Costner.) Kevin is the white guy teaching primarily Latino students. There is a case of culture differences. Plus there are other things that have to be dealt with too.

My Review

[easyazon_link identifier=”B00UI5CU6Y” locale=”US” tag=”tidbitofexp-20″]McFarland, USA [/easyazon_link] was entertaining. I did feel it was rather slow. There wasn’t enough drama and action to keep me overly entertained. I expected more from a movie that had Kevin Costner in it. It was still a good movie to watch.

  1. I like watching Kevin Costner movies a lot too. There are a lot of coaching down and out sport team movies- guess it is a trend. I am happy you did the review so I know what this movie is when it becomes available. Great review.
