Good Cook Sandwich Kit

I got the pleasure of trying out Good Cooks Sandwich Kit. I have to admit the sandwich holders are much bigger than what I expected. I was expecting to get small sandwich holders, but instead I got nice thick size ones.

This kit is well worth getting because it comes with so many neat things. I am in love with the sandwich knife. I use the one I got with the knive set all the time and have been secretly wishing for another one, and finally my wish came true.

Man am I pleased with the slicer as well. It’s nice and sharp and cuts nice slices of cheese quickly off of those blocks of cheese. Now, I can save myself money and just buy the blocks of cheese. (I have a strong love of pepper jack cheese and this slicer will gets loads of use now.)

The cutting boards are nice because they are easy to transport and clean. It’s nice to be able to have a selection of cutting boards to use at one time to cut down on contamination (and having to clean over and over while I’m making something.)

I decided to make meatball sandwiches because it’s something the kids love. It was a quick easy thing to make for a summer lunch.

The meatballs are really easy to make! All you have to do is put Honey BBQ and Italian meatballs (store bought) and put them in the slow cooker. We use King Hawaiian Rolls for the bread. About two to three sandwiches will fit in the sandwich container, but that depends on how much you stuff the sandwiches.

Make Your Own Homemade Meatballs

If you want to get fancy with making homemade meatballs, here is my recipe for doing it:
1.5 pounds of ground beef
1 cup of Italian bread crumbs
1 egg
1 cup of milk
Sprinkle some Parmesan cheese
Sprinkle garlic
Sprinkle salt and pepper
A squeeze of mustard
A few sprinkles of Worcestershire sauce

I mix all of this together. I have been making this since I was a kid, and have no clue what the measurements are anymore, but I know by sight what amount is needed. Each household is different by what they like. If Del wasn’t allergic to onions, green peppers, and red peppers, I’d chop up those and add them as well. My kids love my homemade meatballs too.

The good news is now, three lucky winners will get to have this sandwich kit for themselves. All you have to do is follow the directions in the Rafflecopter entry form.

  1. I just love homemade meatballs! But the way I do it, a mushroom gravy works best. I definitely want to try out your recipe next time meatballs are on the menu 🙂

    • I can understand your feelings on that one!! It is messy, but it’s oh so good. I love Sloppy Joe sandwiches even though they are messy.
