Full Moon Night Fun

Last night I had the brilliant idea of sleeping out under the stars on our trampoline with our kids. The moon was nice and bright and the temperature was perfect. The kids and I had more fun than we’ve had in a long time together.

We had so much fun doing little shows for everyone on the trampoline. We even played hiding from the cars as they drove by. I got bounced around so much it’s amazing I didn’t lose everything I ate all week long.  We even got a blanket on the trampoline and let our puppy join us.

After the kids expended all of their energy that they could, we curled up on the trampoline in one big snuggled huddled mess to go to sleep. It was so peaceful to enjoy listening to the crickets and birds sing us to sleep.

Unfortunately though, what wasn’t pleasant was having mosquitoes trying to make a meal out of Jimmy and me. Zeva was snoozing up a storm and totally oblivious to our unwelcomed visitors. Delbert was bundled up in his blankets and buried in his pillows so there was no room for them to get him. Our puppy was just as loud as Zeva was snoring away. Jimmy and I were the only ones who couldn’t escape them.

So, we ended up going back inside. However, it is a memory we will treasure for time to come. It was something different and unique. We did it on a whim. Now we’re going to pull out our tent one day soon, and really enjoy a night out in our front yard.

I hope that you’ll enjoy our pictures from our night of fun. We weren’t dressed to impress or even planning on taking pictures. However, I wanted to share our good time with you.

What have you done with your kids that they loved that has been unexpected yet so simple?

I'm Crystal. I'm married to Dale, and mother to Johnny. Some might say that my life is perfect because I get to do all the cliché wife things like cooking, cleaning, and decorating - but there's more! I also have many hobbies including needlework (crochet), sewing, and reading. My son's education is important, so we homeschool him together.
