San Diego is basically a vacationer’s dream city. And while it is a wonderful place no matter when you go, early fall is one of the best times to visit because the weather is mild and absolutely perfect, and it’s just past high tourist season, so you’ll have the beaches all to yourself. The Beach
Let’s be honest, one of the main reasons people head to California is for the beautiful beaches. San Diego features 70 miles of gorgeous coastline, so you have your fill of beaches to choose from. We went to San Diego when I was a little girl and I still remember the trip and how pretty the city looks. I have to agree eating on the ship on the water is truly a treat. Glad I was able to help you remember a fond memory.
This post makes me miss San Diego. We lived there for 7 years and enjoyed every minute of it. The beaches are great and so is Balboa Park. Of course there’s also the zoo. There is so much to see and explore, we definitely need to go back for a visit!

I have always wanted to vacation in California! Unfortunately, living in southeast USA makes it both difficult to drive all the way there and planes can be really expensive! Maybe one day…
I live in the southeast and if wasn’t for the fact that my husband got loads back and forth to California I wouldn’t have been able to get there either. I hope that one day you’ll be able to make that trip happen!
