While I’m not a big Captain America fan, I do love Iron Man and many other Marvel Comics Characters so I was super excited to find that during the previews of Captain America: The Winter Soldier  they mentioned that they now have a gift set that is perfect for Marvel fans like us. They now have their Marvel’s The Avengers Limited Edition Collector’s Set- 10-Disc Set available to buy for $149.95. My mouth drooled over the idea of have that nice collectors box filled with Marvel’s 10 family friendly movies: The Avengers (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray), Captain America the First Avenger (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray), Thor (Blu-ray and Blu-ray), Iron Man and Iron Man 2 (both Blu-ray), The Incredible Hulk (Blu-ray), and an additional Bonus Disc (Blu-ray.) That’s not all it also comes with the collectible packaging with exclusive memorabilia from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.I couldn’t help but think that would make an awesome Christmas gift. (No, Marvel did NOT pay me to say that.)
Another thing they mentioned in the previews was that the Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 1 is available on DVD now. I had to make sure, but that season is available to rent from Netflix too.
While I was on Netflix I decided to see what other Marvel movies they had available to watch instantly. I didn’t find that many available for instant play, but they do have a wide array of Marvel family friendly movies and shows to rent available. When you need to get your Marvel fix, like we sometimes do, your first place to look might need to be Netflix.
Just for the record, if you’re wanting to get new releases in your mailbox on Monday make it your mission to have your movies back at Netflix by Saturday. (Well, that’s the case for us and we’re in SC.)
What is your favorite Marvel movie?
Disclosure: Even though I am a member of the Netflix #Streamteam that does not change my opinions or things I love about Netflix.
We are Netflix addicts, it’s ALWAYS on here 🙂
If Del is in the house and his Internet is working and he’s not playing a video game, you can bank he’s watching Netflix. Netflix has been a life saver since his back has started giving him a hard time.
You just reminded me that my Netflix is not working on my Roku lately. I need to email them because I miss it. Anyhow, this set would be the ultimate holiday gift.
I’m glad I was able to give you that reminder you needed. (I know how it is to forget to do something. I do it all the time!–It’s a big joke in our house that unless I do something RIGHT now or put it on my calendar there is a really good chance it won’t get done.)
It does doesn’t it?
I haven;t seen this yet! I must go watch!!
Well, it would be a perfect time to eat your delicious popcorn balls.
I’m a huge Captain America fan, but I think the Avengers movie is my favorite of that whole group of movies. We own almost all of them, I think I still have to pick up the latest Iron Man movie and of course Winter Soldier now too.
We own all of them now too. (My husband collects movies and he has for as long as I’ve known him which is over 20 years now.) Do the Captain America movies get better towards the end? I have only survived through watching them half way because the kids are to bored to finish watching them to the end?
I can’t wait for the original Marvel Shows to start on Netflix. I’m counting down!
That will be neat for sure.
Captain America for my husband and Iron Man for my son and myself!
I have friends who are totally all Captain America because he’s so “American.” I am like you though and feel Iron Man is awesome.
I didn’t know it was on Netflix… Love Marvel!
Captain American: The Winter Solider is available to rent on DVD form on Netflix. They do have more Marvel movies available too.
We are pretty big comic book fans here so the Marvel movies are right up our alley. I don’t know how we lived without Netflix! We use it every day and on lots of different devices.
Tell me about it. Netflix is a wonderful and I mean wonderful thing! If I had unlimited Internet for me to use more often I know I’d watch a lot more shows and movies on it. I think the next thing I’m going to watch when I get the chance is Grey’s Anatomy. I started watching some of those shows with my Mom when she was alive. I think it’d be neat to start over on that series and finish it out. (I stopped watching it after she passed because for some reason I felt guilty for finishing them without her–I know odd!)
My brother in law is a big Marvel fan, and with the holiday season on the way, that box set could definitely make a great gift. It seems like I need to browse Netflix very soon as well.
I think it looks like an amazing gift idea. I know I’d love to own it that’s for sure.
