Joys of Kids

My boys are at their grandparents house for the night. So, that left Zeva as the center of attention tonight. Well, I normally chill out and talk to hubby while he’s taking his bath. Zeva is usually content sitting on my lap and Del has the shower curtain covering him up so that she can’t see him naked.

Today that definitely wasn’t the case at all!!! She is wanting to explore her world around her with great intensity. She decided to try and grab at the shower curtain. Well, I moved it out of her reach, and low and behold she saw bubbles…and my baby LOVES bubbles!! Del, of course, covered himself with a wash cloth. She wasn’t paying him a bit of attention, but he felt mighty uncomfortable because he doesn’t want her to see him naked at all!!! So, after like ten seconds, he decided he needed more covering, so he grabs one of our big towels and proceeds to cover up with it from arm pits all the way down to his toes. It was quite funny to watch him trying to take a bath with a towel. Meanwhile, Zeva is playing with the bubbles with great intensity and determination. Del proceeded to give her a BIG cup. Guess what happened next…her and I ended up soaked and covered in bubbles!! Zeva was having a blast. It was so good to watch her and Daddy playing and laughing even if I did have to get soaked in the process.

Those little moments in life are worth hanging on to. Del was laughing about how soaked our bathroom floor was, but we enjoyed our time together with our daughter.

Don’t pass up on the chance to have little moments with your kids and family. Our kids grow up to quickly. Delbert will be 5 on the 14th, and it’s so hard to believe.

I love this song because it is so true!!
