Iconic Wedding Dresses Throughout History

Throughout generations, the wedding dress has remained the most important aspect of a wedding. It’s the one thing that brides tend to spend the most amount of time deciding on. The wedding dress has the ability to make a bride feel like she’s the princess for the day. The wedding dress is the asset that causes men to lose their breath when they see their soon to be wives in them.
There have been many different wedding designs throughout the course of history.  I have recently been partnered with Vashi and found these iconic wedding dresses that various important women in history decided to wear interesting.  I figured there would be some type of trend for each generation. However, there doesn’t seem to be a set trend. In fact, it’s even more evident that each bride has their own style and tastes.
I didn’t expect to be so impressed with their wedding dress choices. I was surprised to see that some of them choose to wear black dresses. Of course,  that shouldn’t have really surprised me since wearing white dresses is more of a traditional aspect.

I especially liked Michelle Obama, Gwen Stefani, Jewel Kilcher, and Jada Koren Pinkett. There are also a few others that I wouldn’t mind wearing too. I’m curious to see what the future generations choose to wear when they get married.

Which one of these dresses do you like the most?

I'm Crystal. I'm married to Dale, and mother to Johnny. Some might say that my life is perfect because I get to do all the cliché wife things like cooking, cleaning, and decorating - but there's more! I also have many hobbies including needlework (crochet), sewing, and reading. My son's education is important, so we homeschool him together.

  1. All lovely dresses for sure. If I were getting married for the first time I’d be at a loss at which to choose! I tend to like the more traditional for sure.
