Different Fat Reduction Strategies For the Four Seasons

Losing weight is tough for most people, but part of the reason for this is a lack of excellent strategies. Don’t think of weight loss as an immovable object – think of the process as a search for the right lever. Technique and strategy makes the difference between a goal that is achievable and a goal that is unattainable.

Another factor in successful weight loss is finding a variety of strategies so that you can always be losing weight, even if you get bored with one technique or another. Don’t put all of your eggs in one basket. Having a broad range of weight loss practices will ensure that you’re losing weight all the time, not just when you feel excited about a specific diet or workout. Here are a variety of techniques that work well depending on the season of the year.

1) Winter. We may be leaving winter in most of the United States, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t plan ahead for next year. Winter is the perfect time to focus on practices that you can do indoors, when it’s too cold to spend much time outside. Coolsculpting is a kind of therapy where cold temperatures are delivered (in a therapeutic setting) directly to fat cells in the problem areas of your body. These cold temperatures cause fat cells to drop the lipids stored within them. In the days that follow treatment, you’ll see visible differences in the treated regions. It’s a great option for winter days when you’re bundled up from head to toe and are basically forced to spend a lot of time inside.

2) Spring. Spring is the perfect time to try a new form of exercise you’ve never attempted before. Spring represents new beginnings, so it’s a great season to find something unknown that you really enjoy. Take a yoga class, buy a bike, get a pair of trail running shoes and run some trails, do a breakdancing workshop, get certified in Krav Maga – the options are pretty much endless.

3) Summer. Summer is a great time to work up a sweat while having an amazing time. Go swimming, and spend some time out on large bodies of water if you possibly can. Lakes, rivers, and oceans are what the summer is made for, so find an excuse to exert yourself (with a quality sunscreen) in the hot sun.

4) Fall. Fall is a perfect time for long walks in nature. Walk and run through the streets and trails around the area where you live. Use the internet to find spots you’ve never visited before. Soak it all up, because this is the last time in a few months that you’ll be able to spend a lot of time outdoors without freezing your butt off.

Different times of the year lend themselves to different kinds of fat loss strategy. Rotate your diet and your exercise throughout the year, and you’ll have plenty to keep your weight loss and fitness regimens interesting. Interest is an important aspect of meeting and exceeding your goals.

I'm Crystal. I'm married to Dale, and mother to Johnny. Some might say that my life is perfect because I get to do all the cliché wife things like cooking, cleaning, and decorating - but there's more! I also have many hobbies including needlework (crochet), sewing, and reading. My son's education is important, so we homeschool him together.
