Wow, this adventure gets more interesting with each passing day. During my first pregnancy, I had contractions pretty hard from week 26 on, and when I finally went into labor, I almost didn’t recongize it. Her delivery was very quick!! Then with my son, I was induced and already at the hospital. So now, I’m at the final stage, and she’s extremely low!! Last night I had contractions from 9:45PM until 12:30AM, and I honestly thought my water broke while I was using the restroom. I called ER and talked to the labor nurse, and she told me how to fully check if my water had in fact broke. Come to find out it didn’t, and the contractions never got to five minutes apart. They also didn’t get more intense (they did some, but not a lot!) So, I had woke up my husband and had Momma get Jimmy (Little Del was already at her house for the night because they were keeping him last night and Jimmy tonight.) So, it was a false alarm. However, I honestly thought I was going into labor finally. WRONG!! At least, I didn’t rush to the hospital.
Zeva has been quite active today too. She has already dropped even more today since I’ve gotten up. I no longer have a belly button, it’s completely stretched out. I do declare, it will amaze me if we get through the weekend without having Zeva in our arms.
I am honestly scared to death to give birth to her. Little Del was really hard and I had an extremely hard time getting his big head out. I’m praying that won’t be the case with Zeva. I’m also hoping that she does give us enough warning that we can peacefully get to the hospital in time. 😉 She’s going to come when and how she’s ready to come. That’s the joy of being pregnant. It’s the joy of wondering when and how they are going to come, and having to waddle and feel like the baby is going to pop out at any moment because they are literally in between your legs hanging on for dear life. (At least that’s how I felt walking today.)
I got to enjoy some time with my friends today, and they gave me some nice gifts as well. I hope that I get to spend more time with them after Zeva is born. Our kids play very well together. 🙂 It has been a true blessing meeting those ladies!!
Well, I’ve rambled enough. 🙂 I hope everyone is having a good day.
