Healthy Halloween Treat Recipes

Halloween is right around the corner already. Where has the year gone?! Every year around this time of year it seems like we start to consume way too much sugar. Candy, cookies, caramel apples, pumpkin pie — so delicious and so tempting! This year I am going to have my cake and eat it too by tracking down some Healthy Halloween Treat Recipes and giving them a try. Here are a couple we have already tried and LOVED!

Making snacks fun for kids is a fantastic way to switch out the candy without a fight. While candy is hard for just about any kid to resist, allowing children to create their own snack gives them a sense of pride. Plus it is fun!

The key to making a healthy Halloween treat such as this a success is giving your child choices. When choosing their items that they can create with avoiding the candies. So for example with these Ghost Strawberries instead of offering my children white chocolate to cover theirs in we opted for yogurt which we dipped and froze.

It may take some creativity, but it is doable!
