Before You Hit Publish Check This Out FIRST!

While making my commenting rounds for the three linkups that I co-host, I came across a blog post that made my fingers ITCH to type out a LONG response. Right, there I knew I had to write a blog post about it NOW! Rebecca from Best Blogging Business wrote her post filled with important things to do prior to hitting publish. I won’t repeat the things she listed on her post just so that when you’re finished reading my list of suggestions you’ll be sure to check out her blog post. However, in my years of blogging, I’ve found these to be equal important items to add to her list.

My Blogging Tips You Should Do BEFORE You Hit Publish

Check Pinterest for Keywords to Use

Many people make their posts SEO friendly based around Google’s search engine, and I do that as well that’s why a good quarter of my traffic comes from Google alone! However, when you do a search on Pinterest and YouTube, you’ll see a list of suggested searches try to use to find what you’re looking for. Those are prime words to add to your SEO sections as well. It may not LOOK pretty, but it does get traffic to your site! Just be sure you’re delivering what you’re advertising. There’s nothing worse than false advertising!!

Link to Quality Outside Sources

Just like I’m doing in this post, I strive to find quality sources OUTSIDE of my blog to link too. This also helps with SEO and also increasing your credibility PROVIDED you actually use QUALITY sources. (Think of it like you did when you wrote research papers, you had to make sure your sources were credible. Do the same thing for your blog.)

Add Affiliate Links

Adding affiliate links helps generate a nice chunk of money when done correctly. Make sure you naturally add in links to things that you are familiar with. I also personally started adding in search boxes with suggestions based on my keywords from Amazon too. That has increased my making money from home income.

Add Images to Related Posts/Landing Pages

I’ve learned from the bigger bloggers to add images to posts or landing pages to things related to the topic you’re writing about when a post gains a lot of traction. I’m it in this post to show how it looks. Granted, it does look like a lot to a post, but that is how you keep people clicking your site to find more things to learn about or gain from visiting you.
