There’s One Big Problem With HBO Now On Apple TV Announcement

I am an avid news reader. I read the latest news articles that come across Yahoo daily at least once a day before I call it a night. It helps give Crystal and me things to talk about, and it also keeps us in the “know” if you will. I listened as the CEO of HBO announced that they are creating an HBO NOW app on Apple TV and Apple products. I was intrigued since we own the AppleTV, and it’s a great neat, easy product to use. However, when you’re on limited high-speed each month, you can’t fully enjoy programs like these. We were informed by Broadband Blue that my unlimited plan that they were offering me is no longer supported by them. I had the choice of either keeping Internet that has become completely unreliable or upgrading to their new 60GB 4G Internet.

I spend as much time as I can play video games. Unfortunately now, I am limited on how much I can play because I don’t have the free reign to be online as I want now. It is killing my jive because I now have to worry about running out of Internet. Especially since the XBOX One seems to have to be online all the time in order to play anything on it. The PS4 games I enjoy playing are also online games now.

I am wondering why the rural residents are being left behind. We literally have one Internet service now 1.2 miles away from us that we have been impatiently waiting for getting to our home. The real kicker is we have four other houses that we know for a fact that are also waiting on it to arrive here.

With everything turning to the Internet, our government or whoever makes these decisions, needs to figure out a way to ensure that everyone has unlimited high-speed Internet. We would love to take advantage of all of these new programs and offers. It would be nice to cut our bills and still be able to enjoy our favorite shows through our other many devices.

I feel like I’m a broken record, but if other countries can have unlimited high-speed Internet, then why can’t we here in United States? Other countries provide their customers the chance to pay for the speed level they need/want. I’m more than willing to pay for UNLIMITED HIGH-SPEED Internet. I think it should be fair across the board, and it’s past time for the top Internet providers to get out to the rural areas.

Please tell me I’m not alone in fighting to make this happen?

P.S. I think it’s great that HBO Now is coming out with Apple products. I look forward to seeing other advancements like this. I just want to be able to enjoy it too.

  1. I used to live in a very rural area before we bought the townhouse and it sucked. It was the same story as yours until one day, like a miracle, it came! I’m sure yours will too!

  2. It is very true a lot of us think about this. We want to retire in the country someday and this is one of the first things I think about…do they have service?
