Teaching Fine Art of Manhood: Smelling Good

This post and giveaway were made possible by Double Duty Divas and Old Spice. I was compensated for my participation in this campaign, but all opinions are 100% mine.

As a father of two sons, it’s important that they learn the art of attracting the right kind of smelly attention. One of the things that gets my wife’s attention on me completely is when I step out of a bathroom smelling clean and ready for a night on the town. Granted, I used various types of cologne and body sprays, but there are a handful of scents that really make my wife ready to “play.” As a father, I want my sons to know the craft of attracting a woman’s attention with the power of scent.

I’m pleased to be a part of the Old Spice campaign because Old Spice is one product that has been a part of our family for many years. Crystal’s Dad uses Old Spice and she has many fond memories of smelling it while she was curled up in his arms watching movies growing up. Old Spice is also a product that I use one special occasions. I want to pass on the family tradition to my boys of using it for the finer moments in their lives.Old Spice created this cute “Dadsong” showcasing how different women and men act concerning their boys growing up. I have to admit I agree with this video. My kids are certainly Momma’s babies.

    • Oh wow. That had to be an experience for sure. I imagine my oldest will do something very similar when he gets it.

  1. I felt terrible when my sons voice starting to change. His voice would crack and go high without warning. We can laugh about it now but then he was embarrassed.

    • I don’t know if my sons will be excited about that fact. They seem scared of those details themselves.

    • It will definitely make a difference. I haven’t had to deal with that issue yet, but it’s coming.

  2. My girlfriends son is growing up and recently asked for spray of his own. He wants to smell good for the girls!

  5. My son went to visit his father when he was about 13 years old during his summer break. During his stay, he called me to check in with me and I had to ask who it was – his voice and changed – and I wasn’t 100% sure it was him until I double-checked with him – and he just laughed.

  6. My sons first experience to “manhood” is keeping all his boy stuff away from his sisters girl stuff. He is the only boy in the house and hates all things girly, so him and his Dad stick together! His sports uniforms would be what we need this prize most for!
