My Other Hobby

I have been doing adult coloring for many years. I use to actually make my own mandala art pieces when I was a teenager with my [easyazon_link identifier=”B009VE38CI” locale=”US” tag=”tidbitofexp-20″]Spirograph Deluxe Design Set[/easyazon_link] that I owned. However, it has since become something that I don’t have the patience to do. However, I do still have the patience to color other people’s artistic creations. When adult coloring became a big time hobby again, and I started seeing these books everywhere; I couldn’t resist jumping back on the bandwagon and doing it again myself. I have been showing some of my colored projects on my Instagram page.

I decided to make you a video of all of the of my books that I personally own right now along with my coloring utensils too. I hope you enjoy flipping through these books with me. I think they are all neat in their own way. However, my absolute favorite is definitely the [easyazon_link identifier=”0692543260″ locale=”US” tag=”tidbitofexp-20″]2016 Coloring Calendar: An Adult Coloring Calendar Featuring 300+ Beautiful Coloring Pages for a Stress-Free, Relaxing and Creative 2016![/easyazon_link].

I'm Crystal. I'm married to Dale, and mother to Johnny. Some might say that my life is perfect because I get to do all the cliché wife things like cooking, cleaning, and decorating - but there's more! I also have many hobbies including needlework (crochet), sewing, and reading. My son's education is important, so we homeschool him together.

  1. Many people find it very relaxing and therapeutic. I need another hobby like I need a whole in the head… but still tempted 🙂 #HomeMattersParty

    • Trust me, I completely understand not wanting to take another hobby! I was afraid to start doing adult coloring again for fear I’d stop working like I should! However, I’ve found a way to incorporate it as a part of my work. 🙂 LOL.

Thank you for stopping by and commenting. I hope to see you again soon.

    • They truly are. I love that there are so many designs that can be done with them.

  2. That looks beautiful!! I just got a coloring book for my birthday – it’s amazing how popular they are getting for all of us older “kids”. 🙂

    • It truly is amazing the vast amount of attention the adulting stuff has been getting lately. I was doing these long before they were considered ‘cool’. HOWEVER, I’m getting a LOT more stuff for my hobby now that it is cool! 🙂

    • They are and they are truly worth every bit of money you invest in them. It does become an addicting hobby, but it’s worth getting hooked on.

  3. My husband has recently picked up this hobby. He says it is very relaxing for him. I just don’t have the time, but it does look like a fun way to relieve some stress and just escape for a bit. #ProductReviewParty

    • It is very good at relieving stress in my book. I personally find when I’m super hyper or feeling burnt out or overwhelmed it helps me slow down enough to put it all into perspective. When I’ve done 15-20 minutes worth of coloring, I’m golden and ready to tackle something else. It’s also neat to see what the end creations look like. Even if sometimes I see where a set of colors truly didn’t go to together as well as I had thought they would have when I saw it in my head.

  5. I’ve bought a colouring book and some pencil crayons but have yet to have time to give them a try! I’m excited to start though as I used to love colouring. Thank you for sharing your experience with some of the newest colouring books on the market and the colouring calendar too! We appreciate you sharing and being part of the Hearth and Soul Hop community!
